An introduction to Rachel Wilson
Rachel Wilson qualified as an occupational therapist in 2003 from York St John University. She has extensive experience in various health and social care roles within the NHS and Social Services, as well as having developed her own business in independent occupational therapy.
As an independent occupational therapist, Rachel works with adults and older people with a wide range of conditions and presenting difficulties. She offers assessment, advice and interventions to people in their own homes, the local community, at work, or in short to long-term care settings. She has also developed a multi-disciplinary network of colleagues, cross-sector, in order to provide a collaborative approach where appropriate.
Based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, Rachel covers all of Yorkshire, as well as the North West and the North-East. She is also willing to travel further afield, depending on need. She accepts referrals from individual clients and their families/carers, GPs, employers, case managers, solicitors, insurance companies, local authorities, housing associations, charities, and care providers.
In addition to her clinical role, Rachel works as an expert witness as part of the Peritus Network, providing assessments and medico-legal reports to facilitate the Court in establishing quantum in medical negligence and personal injury claims.
