An introduction to Rachel Wilson
I qualified as an occupational therapist in 2003 from York St John University. I have extensive experience in various health and social care roles within the NHS and Social Services, as well as having developed my own business in independent occupational therapy.
As an independent occupational therapist, I work with adults and older people with a wide range of conditions and presenting difficulties. I offer assessments, advice and interventions to people in their own homes, the local community, at work, or in short to long-term care settings. I have also developed a multi-disciplinary network of colleagues, cross-sector, in order to provide a collaborative approach where appropriate.
Based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, I cover all of Yorkshire, as well as the North West and the North-East. I’m willing to travel further afield, depending on need and accept referrals from individual clients and their families/carers, GPs, employers, case managers, solicitors, insurance companies, local authorities, housing associations, charities, and care providers.
In addition to my clinical role, I work as an expert witness as part of the Peritus Network, providing assessments and medico-legal reports to facilitate the Court in establishing quantum in medical negligence and personal injury claims.
